What is the minimum age to do rug tufting?

We welcome tufters from Age 14 years+ The tufting gun has a weight of 1.4kg and between the ages of 14-16, we do require an adult to accompany you and for supervision by them at all times, as the tufting gun has sharp scissors and moving parts.

Can I make any design?

You can design any image you would like.  The image needs to be 2D, flat and simple for your first workshop, as any small details omitted due to the size of the tufting gun head point.

Can I take my rug home with me at the end of the workshop?

Yes you can.  We find that up to 4 hours for our standard workshop is ample time to complete your rug. If for any reason, your rug is unfinished, we can finish it for you and it will be ready for collection the following day. For larger pieces, you have the option to book some further studio time with us @ £15 per 30 minutes.

Is this workshop a taught class with certification?

No - we introduce and guide  you through the tufting process and how to use the equipment,  it is for recreational and hobby purposes only, so let your creativity shine through!

Can I bring other people with me to the workshop?

Unfortunately,  we don’t have enough space to accommodate non tufters. We do however, require tufters between ages 14-16 to have an adult supervise at all times.
